Negative Impact of Fad Diets

Lose weight is the goal of so many people in this day. A healthy and balanced diet will help people to achieve their goal but in most cases, it will take a while before they can see the result. That is why some people are tempted by the fast weight loss promised by fad diets. Although it may work in the beginning, it has some serious negative impact that people should be worry about.

Signs that Fad Diets is Not Healthy

There are some signs that people should watch out when they following this kind of extreme diet. If they have these symptoms, then it’s about time they stop following the fad diets and try a healthier diet.

  • Feeling hungry constantly
  • Dehydration
  • Mood swing
  • Muscle cramps
  • Confusion and dizziness
  • Diarrhea

What makes people feel these symptoms? It is simply because their body doesn’t get enough nutrition that it need. Most of diets that promised quick weight loss are considered as fad diets and most of them do not meet nutritional need of people. People may enjoy quick weight loss, but since their body doesn’t get enough nutrition, they can regain their weight rapidly after they stop doing it.
