The Emphasis of Mediterranean Diet
The emphasis of this specific diet is on lots of plant foods almost similar to vegetarian people. People in this region eat lots of plant foods such as seeds, beans, nuts, and other food from plants and most of them use olive oil as the fat source, where they use it to cook and prepare their food. As for the source of protein, people in the region eat fish and poultry in moderate portion with small amount of meat.They also rely mostly on yogurt and cheese as part of their dairy foods and they consume wine in low or moderate amounts. This kind of diet is pretty popular and based on kind of foods that people must consume, Mediterranean diet is also healthy enough while in the same time doesn’t add more weight, which will do perfectly well for those who want to keep in shape or lose more weight.
